When it was time for my graduation ten years ago, I found out she wouldn't be able to come as she was in a nursing facility. I went to see her after the graduation in my cap and gown. We both weeped so much that day. I'll never forget Mrs. Bailey. What a wonderful human being, to be able to make such positive impact on so many people. Thank you to all the teachers out there who aspire to be like my sweet Mrs. Bailey.

<![CDATA["She stuck with me"]]>Thu, 12 Jun 2014 14:15:14 GMThttp://cielosteach.weebly.com/education-kudos/she-stuck-with-meI remember Ms. Rankin at Pineview Elementary School in Florida. She's about the only teacher I remember from school now that I'm in my 40s. When I was in third grade, I remember having a real hard time learning how to read but she never gave up. She kept me after school, talked with my mom often. I even remember her going to my house a couple times. It's people like her that you can never forget. She stuck with me when everyone else just called me dumb. She's been my hero since. God bless her!
